Careerbuilder.Com Acquires Jobbguiden.Se And Jobbingmall.Nl

Online job site CareerBuilder.com has acquired online recruitment sites Jobbguiden.se in Sweden and JobbingMall.nl in the Netherlands, adding more than 1 million new job seekers to CareerBuilder.com's international network. The Jobbguiden.se and JobbingMall.nl sites will retain their existing brand names, but will be powered by CareerBuilder.com technology. Financial terms surrounding the acquisitions have not been released. "The recent acquisitions in the Netherlands and Sweden made sense because both companies are strong players in key markets, are philosophically aligned with our company, and can easily be integrated within the CareerBuilder platform," said Farhan Yasin, president of CareerBuilder.com's International Group. "After taking over the leadership position in the U.S. in just five years, CareerBuilder.com is bringing that same passion for superior customer service and technology and results to a global community." TheLadders.com Forms Alliance With Adicio

TheLadders.com, a job search service for the $100k+ segment of the employment marketplace, has formed a partnership with Adicio, a developer of Web-based classified advertising solutions, to bring senior-level jobs to Adicio’s 250-plus newspaper, magazine, trade association and broadcast media client sites. Online careers site Monster.com has created of the Monster Career Ad Network, a new recruitment media product developed to aid employers in reaching active job seekers on Monster's network of career management sites as well as passive candidates who are not actively looking for a job but are open to new opportunities that match their backgrounds and interests. The Career Ad Network merges Monster's expertise in careers, online media and marketing to enable the creation of targeted and creative job advertising campaigns. The Job Network Enters Partnership With Yahoo!'s HotJobs

The Job Network LLC and Yahoo! HotJobs have agreed to form an alliance to help national community newspapers post employment advertising to the HotJobs Web site. Under the alliance, members of The Job Network can post employment ads to the HotJobs Web site. "We believe this agreement will help the nation's community newspapers protect and enhance their leadership role in recruitment/employment advertising," said Marc Wilson, president of The Job Network. "Newspapers hold the traditional role of serving their communities' advertising needs. This alliance should strengthen that role." This agreement enables The Job Network to provide recruitment advertisers a larger, more diverse candidate pool for their job opportunities. The Job Network LLC is owned by TownNews.com, Redmatch North America, and PAGE Co-Op, which is a cooperative buying company owned by many of the nation's privately held newspapers.

JobCentral National Labor Exchange Selected By NASWA

JobCentral National Labor Exchange has been selected by The National Association of State Workforce Agencies (NASWA) to provide job seekers, employers and states a cost-effective transition from America’s Job Bank (AJB) when it is discontinued June 30, 2007, as previously announced by the U.S. Department of Labor. JobCentral will provide a wide range of employment services to participating state workforce agencies, from job listing distribution to and from state employment Web sites to participation in the national labor exchange with other states. The service will also be available to federal agencies for fast response to recruiting needs, after disasters, such as hurricanes or earthquakes.
